Kimberly Johnson, MSW

Kimberly Johnson is a dedicated mental health professional with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. Her work spans from individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children, adults, couples, and families, equipping her with a broad and compassionate understanding of diverse client needs. Kimberly is known for her integrity, empathy, and respectful approach, and she thoughtfully integrates faith-based support for clients who desire it as part of their healing journey.

She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Florida A&M University and is currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) in the state of Florida, working toward independent licensure.

Kimberly specializes in treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. She utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. This flexible framework allows her to tailor treatment to each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Her professional background includes work in residential facilities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, school-based programs, and private practice settings. These diverse experiences have strengthened her ability to adapt her therapeutic approach and effectively support clients in various environments.

Kimberly is deeply committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. She views healing as a collaborative process and partners closely with clients to build resilience, enhance coping skills, and foster personal growth and self-advocacy.

She offers both in-person and telehealth sessions, providing flexible options to meet the needs of those she serves. Kimberly currently practices under the supervision of Patti Swenson-Abraham, LCSW (FL License #SW 7278), as she continues her journey toward independent licensure.
